About Midwest Mini Barns

A lot of places can sell you a shed. Midwest Mini Barns helps you make sense of the options before you spend the money.

Jake Byler and Ervin Yoder bring hands-on building experience, construction knowledge, and real-world guidance to every storage shed, garage, cabin, chicken coop, animal shelter, picnic shelter, and custom portable building they sell.

You bring the need. They’ll help you figure out the right next step.

Rooted in Family, Built on Values

Midwest Mini Barns was first started in 1997. In 2000, Jacob Byler purchased it and continued building it with a focus on quality, service, and treating customers right.

In January 2022, Jake Byler and Ervin Yoder purchased the business as 50/50 owners. Today, they carry that same purpose forward: build quality structures, communicate clearly, and help every customer feel confident in what they are buying.

Their Mennonite roots shape the way they do business. Work hard. Stay humble. Keep your word. Treat people with care.

Meet the Owners

Jake Byler

Jake grew up around portable buildings, deliveries, job sites, and shop work. He understands the product because he has been hands-on with it for years.

As an owner, Jake brings a practical, steady approach to helping customers. He knows most people are not just shopping for “a shed.” They are trying to protect equipment, clean up a property, make room for their family, or create something more useful at home.

Outside of work, Jake is a dad who enjoys hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. That practical side shows up in the way he helps customers think through their building. It needs to look good, but it also needs to work in real life.

Ervin Yoder

Ervin brings decades of construction experience to the business, with a background in building homes, barns, garages, and other quality structures.

His experience gives customers a steady resource when they have questions about layout, design, modifications, materials, and long-term use. He understands the small choices that can make a building more useful once it is actually on the property.

Ervin enjoys helping customers understand their options clearly, especially when they are not sure where to start.
